Welcome to Siegen, a town in the South Westphalian part of the North Rhine
Westphalia, Germany. Its name means “big town belonging to a district” for it is a town that practices certain functions by a district.
Siegen is in the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein in Arnsberg region. It lies in a branched basin of the upper Sieg and also on the German-Dutch holiday road which is called the Oranier-Route that joins towns, cities and regions which are associated with the House of Orange. The city served as the South Westphalia’s service and administrative center and much of Siegen’s industry is based on metalworking.
There are museums in the city which has a lot of historical things and collections that visitors could enjoy. There are also good buildings there even if the city was destroyed during World War II. The city also has scenically charming environs which tourists could visit. Breweries can be found in the area too.
