Spain has a lot of cities and municipalities that have numerous historical events and are still known today worldwide. One of these municipalities is Mozota. It is a small town and also a municipality found in Zaragoza province which is southwest of Zaragoza, Aragon.
It is a wine growing region since the Roman times. Mozota is dominated by vines and the traditional grape varieties in there are Grenache, Tempranillo and Cagirnane. These are producing full-bodied and high-strength tintos which are distributed worldwide for blending. Mozota sits on the Rio Huerva on routes south to Madrid and Valenciaand it also lies in the lee of Moncayo Mountain range which is near Campo de Carineña wine-growing region of the country.
Mozota is among the small agrarian towns in the country which had benefited from the government’s policy of preserving heritage. Mozota is also the home of many beautiful sites like the fortified manor house and battlements, the 12th century castle, parish church of Saint Mary Magdalen and also the fortified place.
