Aside from the vibrant city of Prague, Tábor is also one of the most remarkable cities in Czech Republic.
Tábor’s size is about 62 square kilometers which is found in Southern Bohemian Region and is named after Mount Tabor where it is believed to be the place of transfiguration of Christ. It is founded in 1420 by Petr Hromádka of Jistebnice and Jan Bydlínský of Bydlín who was known as the Taborites.
The city’s source of income is taken from agricultural trade, tobacco, textiles, and mining of kaolin. As of now, many of its ancient places have been demolished but then the city was able to preserve many memorials of its past recognition. Aside from that, the houses in Tábor are definitely a sight to behold. They also have a tunnel dug under their houses which are interconnected. This tunnel is about 1 km long and is open to the public.
People in Tábor definitely show cooperativeness and love for the city. Visitors would surely love to have a glimpse of them and the city.
