Welcome to Park von Muskau, hailed as the largest as well as one of the most popular English-style parks found in Germany and Poland. It has about 3.5 square kilometers of land in Poland and about 2.1 square kilometers in Germany.
The magnificent park extends on the Lusatian Neisse River– this constitutes the border between the countries. The center of the park are the partially wooded raised areas found on the east bank of the river which is commonly known as The Park on Terraces. It was on July 2, 2004 when UNESCO has declared the park as one of the World Heritage Site.
The park is an exemplary model of cross-border cultural collaboration of Poland and Germany. The park was also remarkably inscribed to the list on two criteria. First is for breaking new ground in terms of development towards the ideal man-made landscape and second, to its influence on the development of the landscape architecture as a discipline.
