BraunschweigA simple yet splendid city with 245,000 total of population, Braunschweig is found in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated north of the Harz Mountains found at the farthest navigable point of the Oker River-connects to the North Sea via Aller and Weser Rivers.

Unfortunately, the royal palace of the city was bombed during World War II and was demolished in the year 1960. In 2007, the exterior was rebuilt to have a palace museum and shopping center. In Braunschweig, one will see the Burgplatz or also called the Castla Square which is made of group of buildings with great historical and cultural significance. There is also the Alstadtmarkt which is the old town market surrounded by the old town hall and also the Martinikirche which serves as the church of Saint Martin.

Celle is also part of Braunschweig which is a town with old half-timbered houses and also a castle. HIldesheim is a medieval town in the city which is well known for its UNESCO cultural heritage cathedrals, classic and old half-timbered house and market area.
