A beautiful city in France inhabited by Celts, Romans, and various Germanic people, Burgundy people are well known as producers of wine which is labeled with their city’s name.

The region was divided between the Duchy of Burgundy and the County of Burgundy and the latter is more famous compared to the County of Burgundy. Duchy of Burgundy was the French province of Burgundy and the County of Burgundy was the French province of Franche-Comté.

The Burgundy wines produced by the people in the city are white and red wines. The most famous wines are produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. There are also well-made wines from Cote d’Or, Beaujolais, Chablis, Cote Chalonnaise, and Macon. The wines from Burgundy are varied, complex, human and sophisticatedly homely. The finest wines in the city are highly regarded due to their historical tradition and the wines transmit well the flavor of the rich land of Burgundy.
