Welcome to Castle Donington, a well known village with a total population of 7,000. It is found in the North West of Leicestershire, close to the beautiful place of Derby and Nottingham and on the very edge of the National Forest. It serves as the home to popular Donington Park motor racing circuit.

Castle Donington is said to be a mixture of the old and new centuries. It has modern shops which feature Georgian and Regency houses. There are also few timber framed houses which dates from the 17th century and the earlier survive found along the main road. The castle was first mentioned in Domesday. It was in the year 1086 when it successfully built a windmill.
It has two primary schools namely, St. Edwards and the Orchard Primary School. Castle Donington Community College caters to the secondary education needs of the people in the village. There are also pubs and bars found in the area where one can spend a fun night.
