Hailed as the capital city of the province of Bari and of the Apulia region, Bari serves as the second economic center of southern Italy and it is famous as a port and university city.

It is now regarded as a modern industrial city and some of Italy’s most interesting and undiscovered areas are found within the province of Bari and the region of Puglia. The place is a proud and hard working port city that has strong traditions which are based in its Saint Nicholas. The city is famous throughout the country for its strong, often crude, spoken dialect specifically in the Old Town.
