Hailed as the capital city of the province of Bari and of the Apulia region, Bari serves as the second economic center of southern Italy and it is famous as a port and university city.

BariIt is now regarded as a modern industrial city and some of Italy’s most interesting and undiscovered areas are found within the province of Bari and the region of Puglia. The place is a proud and hard working port city that has strong traditions which are based in its Saint Nicholas. The city is famous throughout the country for its strong, often crude, spoken dialect specifically in the Old Town.

Some of the places to venture in the city include Basilica di San Nicola which was founded in the year 1087, the Cathedral of St. Sabinus, the Petruzzelli Theatre which is regarded as one of the grandest opera houses in the country, Castello Normanno Svevo, Russian Church, Barivecchia and a lot more.
