Welcome to Nicosia, the capital and largest city of Cyprus. Found on the Pedieos River and located in the center of the island.

Nicosia serves as the seat of government and plays as the main business center. Nicosia existed towards the end of the 12^th century when it was owned and run by the Knights Templar. It is also the political, economic, and cultural center of Cyprus.

The country has a very rich history which can be traced back to the Bronze Age. The center of the city is enclosed by 16^th century Venetian walls dotted with museums, ancient churches, and medieval buildings which preserve the reflective atmosphere of the previous years. Nicosia is also famous for having fine museums. Old churches are also found in the city. Going to the city is easy and accessible. They have numerous taxi companies and they also have a bus network which is operated by the subsidized Nicosia Bus Company.
