Finding Zaragoza

Located on the river Ebro, Zaragoza is the capital city of the autonomous region and former Kingdom of Aragon in the magnificent country of Spain. It is about 199 meters above sea level and it also constitutes crossroads between Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.

The city is linked by legend to the beginnings of Christianity in the country and it was formerly called Salduba which is a Punic name of a Carthaginian military post which was made on the remains of a Celtiberian village. Today, Zaragoza serves as a home to a Spanish Air Force base. The people are also benefiting from Expo 2008 which is the next official World’s Fair and also they are part on the of the AVE high-speed rail route.

You can find the e4stately houses and wonderful palaces in Zaragoza. There are also museums there just like the Museum of Fine Arts and the Camon Aznar Museum. You can also catch a glimpse of the Moorish castle or palace which is called the Aljaferia.
