Known as the most significant city of historic Brittany, Nantes is a wonderful city found in western France just near the Atlantic coast.
The city is about 65.19 square kilometers in size and it is situated on the banks of the Louire river. Nantes is divided into 11 neighborhoods and it is bordered by the cities of Basse-Goulaine, Bouguenais, Carquefou, Indre, La Montagne, and many more. There are about 270,251 people who live in the city and about 711,120 people who live in the metropolitan area of Nantes.
Some of the main sights and most visited place in the city are the Cathedral Saint-Peter Saint-Paul, Passage Pommerraye, the new Palais de Justice which was built in 2000, Musee des Beaux-arts which is an art museum, La Tour LU, Musee D’Obree, Le Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne, Jardin des Plantes, and they also have Marche Talensac which serves as the main town market.
