Albania is rich in beautiful and marvelous sites where tourists would really enjoy. Now, I am taking you to Vlore- the second largest port city of the country.
It is situated in the southwestern Albania. Vlore lies in an eminence near the Bay of Vlore which is an inlet facing the Adriatic Sea. It has a very beautiful and pleasing appearance where it is surrounded by gardens and oil-groves. It is also among the oldest cities of Albania founded in the 6th century B.C.
Vlore is a major seaport and commercial center with an important fishing and industrial sector. Its surrounding region produces petroleum, natural gas, bitumen, and salt. It is also an important agricultural center with a very large-scale planting of olive and fruit trees, and also as a center of the food processing. Tourism of the city also became a major industry in recent years; it currently has many hotels, recreational centers, and vast beaches.
