Italy is composed of a large peninsula whose shape is like a boot that extends into the Mediterranean Sea. It is a home to many influential European cultures. The place may be a highly-developed country yet its people still retains its culture and practices.
One of their wonderful practices and traditions is the celebration of “Festa della Madonna Bruna.” It is celebrated during the second day of July. During this day, streets are filled with festive lights, parade of costumed men on horses which symbolizes the Knights of Santa Maria della Bruna, artistically made floats, and a spectacular display of fireworks.
Roman Catholicism is somehow the largest religion in the country. That is why their way of celebrating the feasts of their saints is similar to other countries but their means would always be distinct to others.
To be in their celebration is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It may be done every year but each year is a different kind of experience you would never want to miss.
