Sizzling Europe

A well known annual music festival, Electric Picnic has been staged since the year 2004 in Stradbally Hall, County Laois in Iraleand. It is famous for having a positive and relaxed atmosphere. Its electic line-up has garnered a more alternative reputation. It was a one-day event that eventually became a weekend-long festival.

The organizers of the picnic are the Pod concerts and Aiken promotions. The Electric Picnic incorporates attractions like the 24-hour cinema tent, Body and Soul arena, the International Comedy Tent and the silent disco. There are a lot of visitors who come to the music festival because it has different theme each year, stimulating the great interests of many.

In 2007, there were 32,500 festival goers and it ran from August 31 down to September 2. It was in this year when a lot of attractions were featured. These attractions include a church offering mock weddings, luxury tents, massage chambers, fairground and silent disco.
