Situated in the Bundesland of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dortmund is the largest city in the region and the seventh largest city in Germany.

Dortmund is a center for hi-tech industry and it has one of the greenest cities in Westphalia. There are a lot of parks and gardens in it since the people had reconstructed the city after World War II. The cultural history of the city is set by the churches found in the center of the city with towers characterizing the skyline of Dortmund.

There are a lot of places that one can enjoy visiting in the city. There is the Signal Iduna Park which is the soccer ground of Borussia Dortmund and it is formerly known as the Westfalenstadion. The city also has Hansa Coking Plant, Haus Bodelschwingh, Haus Dellwig, Haus Rodenburg, Romberg Park Gatehouse and a lot more.
