Widely known as an ancient city which dates from the Viking Age, Roskilde is the main city in Roskilde municipality, Denmark.

The city has the Roskilde train station which serves as the major stop between Copenhagen and the rest of the country west of the capital and this helped the city to become a center of economics for the region. In the heart of the city, one will find myriad of shops, restaurants and cafes. There are a lot of tourist attractions in the city and there are also education programs which invite international students to attend the city’s local university for one year.

Roskilde Cathedral is among the wonders in the city it was the only cathedral in Zealand until 20^th century. The Viking Ship Museum is also visited by many tourists which has centerpieces collection that are well preserved remains of Viking ships that were excavated from Roskilde Fjord during the late 1960s.
