A splendid town in southern Estonia, Valga also serves as the capital of the Valga County. It is located at the junction of roads and railways. The town is known as an international railway junction.

Valga is said to be a fast developing town. In the year 1996 the quality of life of the people in Valga had greatly improved because of the renovation of some buildings which include the Central Library, Valga Stadium, the Museum, Valga Hospital and the Culture and Hobby Centre. Even the schools and the kindergartens were also being modernized. It was in the year 2003 when a new water treatment plant has notably improved the town’s quality of water.
When it comes to the private sector, many extensive investments occurred in trade, light industry as well as forestry. Valga has a total population of 15,330 and it has a total area of 16.5 square kilometers.
