Strolling around Waterford

Waterford is a pristine city in Ireland. It is founded in 914 AD by the Vikings and is said to be the oldest city in the country.

It is the largest city in Ireland and it has a total population of about 50,000 which includes the suburbs and the urban population. The city’s port is one of the country’s major ports for over a millennium. Waterford is made up of several cultural quarters. It has museums such as the Waterford Museum of Treasures and the Reginald’s Tower.

Among the other places to stroll on in the city are the art galleries like the Waterford Municipal Art Gallery, Garter Lane and the Dyehouse Gallery. There are also theatres in Waterford that would entertain numerous visitors and tourists just like The Theatre Royal, Garter Lane, Red Kettle, Spraoi which is a street theatre company that is based in Waterford, and the Waterford Youth Arts.
