Offenbach

Welcome to Offenbach, a city in Hesse, Germany which is known as the center of leather industry in the country.

Offenbach is situated on the south side of the river Main and it is part of the Rhein-Main metropolitan area. It is currently the seat of the Deutsches Leder Museum and of the international leather fair. Offenbach is the home to the soccer club “Kickers Offenbach” and also the team’s stadium which is the “Bieberer Berg.” Up to the early 1970s, the city was dominated by the machine-building and leather industries.

The city was also the European center of typography with Linotype moving to nearby Eschborn in 1970s and MAN Roland printing machines are said to be still a major employer in the city today. Offenbach has been famous location for a wide array of services particularly in advertising, design and transport sectors. It is also the host to the European headquarters of the famous Hyundai Motors.
