The Germans: Who and What They Are

The Germans are well known for their great influences on ideas, innovations, cuisine and other ways of living. They are said to be an ethnic group that share common culture, citizenship and most of them speak the German language. These people are also defined with their national citizenship, according to the influence of the present subcultures in the area.Germans

           There are about 100 million who are native speakers of German in the whole world. The Ethnic Germans are those who formed the significant minority group in countries found in the central and Eastern Europe. There are also groups of people who are still considered as Ethnic Germans even if they no longer use the German language or even belong to a certain German culture.

           The two main religions of the Germans are the Protestant and the Catholic. The Germans are currently attempting to successfully integrate the Gastarbeiter and then eventually the refugees arrived from the former Yugolavia.
