Pforzheim is a town found in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg,Germany. It is called as Goldstadt or the Golden City for its jewelry and watch-making industry.

The city does not belong to any administrative district but it is at the same time the host for the administrative offices of the Enz district surrounding the town. It is situated at the northern rim of the eastern part of the Black Forest and the rim of the hilly country of Kraichgau. Because of the city’s location, it is also called as “The three valleys town.” It is made up of 16 city wards and its city administration is led by the Lord Mayer and three mayors.

Pforzheim is said to be among the regional centers in Baden-Wurttemberg and it has one of the highest densities of industrial activity in the state. About two thirds of all employment positions in the city are made available in the areas of metal processing, dental industry electronics and electro-technology.
