Welcome to Podgorica, the capital as well as the largest city of Montenegro. Formerly known as Titograd, Podgorica has a city population of 136,473 and it has a good geographical location in the country. It is located at the confluence of Ribnica and Moraca Rivers and on the meeting point of the wonderful Zeta Plain and Bjelopavlici Valley.Podgorica

The city is known to be the administrative, economic, cultural and educational center of the country. Its name literally menas “under the Gorica” as used in the Serbian language and Gorica means “little mountain” which is the name of the hill that overlooks the very heart of the city.

Podgorica serves as home to numerous Montenegrin cultural institutions and events. It even hosts the Montenegrin National Theatre and numerous museums and galleries making it a popular tourist attraction all over the world.
