The Splendid Aalborg

A well known city in Denmark, Aalborg is a significant harbor in the middle ages and has later become an industrial center leader. It is currently in a transition from working-class, industrial city to a knowledge-based city and its transition is said to be caused by the University of Aalborg.

It is the country’s industrial and commercial center which exports grain, cement and fish. Aalborg also serves as the center of telecommunications industry which originates from the University of Aalborg founded in 1974. The largest manufacturer of Marine Boiler which is the Aalborg Industries is found in the city. Aalborg is the location of Aalborg Air Base which is a significant base of the Danish Air Force and it is also the seat of a Lutheran Bishop.

Among the beautiful places and landmarks that you can visit in the city is the old castle Aalborghus Castle and there are also some picturesque houses which were built in 17th century that remain in the center of the town.
