German people are known to be innovative and creative when it comes to delicious dishes and beverages. Among the prominent dishes in the country is the pea soup. Germans usually put bacon, sausage or Kassier- a pickled or smoke pork into the dish.
The soups is usually served with Wurste and some healthy and delectable dark bread. Among the very first instant products of the Germans is the pea soup. It was in the year 1867 when Johann Heinrich Gruneberg had invented the instant pea soup. The German inventor had then sold the recipe to the well known Prussian state.
Just as when the Franco-Prussian War begun, the mar ministry had created a big manufacturing plant and had produced about 4,000 to 5,000 tons of Erbswurst for the army in the war. In the year 1889, Knorr, an instant-food company, had bought the license of the instant pea soup. Until today, the company still produces the Erbswurst.
