The cape is situated in Lisbon district which is about 40 kilometers west of Lisbon and 18 kilometers west of Sintra in the wonderful Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. It rises out of the Atlantic Ocean to about 140 meters above the sea level. There is a lighthouse found in the cape which is visited by a lot of tourists and there is also a tourist shop which sits on the top of the cliff.
