People in Netherlands can be regarded as egalitarian, individualistic and modern. They are also known to be modest, tolerant, independent and business minded. Most of the Dutch really give importance to education, hard work, ambition and ability or skills.
When it comes to money matters, people in Netherlands have different regards with spending money. For them, spending is a sort of vice and is often associated as a show-off. People in the country are very proud of their cultural heritage as well as their rich history in art and music.
Dutch people also have customs in greeting others. When they enter a room, they shake hands with everyone in the room and then they do the same when they are about to leave the room. They are also used in introducing acquaintance to others and not doing this custom means rudeness for the Dutch. When it comes to meeting friends and relatives, the Dutch people often kiss cheeks for three times.
