Regarded as the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz is also the seat of the national parliament. It is situated along the Rhine and it has about 5,248 inhabitants. The city’s cathedral is considered as the seat of a Roman Catholic archbishop.Vaduz

It is mentioned in historic 12 century manuscripts as Farduzes and it is believed to be founded during the 13th century. Though Vaduz is not the largest town in the principality, it is better known internationally because of its wonderful sights and landmarks that are often visited by tourists.

Among its landmarks is the Vaduz Castle which is the home of the reigning prince of Liechtenstein as well as the Liechtenstein princely family. Its museum includes the National Art Gallery and the National Museum. The city is noted to have a very efficient bus network that has frequent connections to Sargans and Buchs that encouraged a lot of visitors to visit the place in an easy way.
