Situated between Hildesheim and Braunschweig, Salzgitter is an independent city of Germany. It is found in southeast Lower Saxony, Germany.

Salzgitter is among the largest cities in the country and it has a total population of about 109,142 inhabitants. It is connected to the Mittellandkanal and the Elbe-Seitenkanal by a certain distributary. Salazgitter is also one of the few towns in the country which was founded in the 20th century.

It has 31 quarters and these quarters are combined to seven towns. You can visit the town’s museums just like the Stadtisches Museum Schloss Salder and the Stadtische Kunstsammlungen Schloss Salder. Inside the city, you could also find an archaeological excavation during the Stone Age. There is also a farm house which has an open-air stage and English Park. Salzgitter;s main shopping street is located in the borough Salzgitter-Lebenstedt and it is often visited by numerous tourists who love to shop all day long.
