Nikaia is also called Nikea. It is a suburb in the west southwestern part of Athens, Greece.
Nikaia is composed of farmlands and mixed farm is common in the place. It also has main streets and among these are the Gregori Lambraki and Petrou Ralli Street- which is divided into two way roads which is consciously linked. The urban development of Nikaia replaced much of the said farmlands in the year 1930. The city is currently is urbanized and most of the municipality is used as residential. However, the area of Nikaia is composed of hills with exception of the northwest where the Aegaleo ranges can be seen.
There are also wonderful and spectacular places in Nikaia. Some of these places are Klimakia Gallery, Piraeus-Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall- used for weightlifting in the 2004 Summer Olympics, Platon National Sports Center, and the Stadium for Proodeftiki. Nikaia also has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, post office, hospital, police station, and squares.
